  • Sports betting only — casino, slots and crash games do not count
  • One full bet, not split stakes; leftover amount is lost
  • Minimum single odds of 2.76 before you can withdraw
A LulaBet Free Bet is a sports-only token that must go on one single at 2.76 or bigger, and if it wins, you keep the profit only — so read the numbers before you tap place.

What the rules cover

A Free Bet on LulaBet looks simple on the promotions page. It is not. The site published a tight set of rules on 4 March 2025, and those rules decide whether the credit is usable money or a dead token in your account.

This is for sports only. Rugby, soccer, cricket, horse racing, in-play — that side of the book. Drop it on slots, live casino or a crash title, and it will not qualify. If you signed up as a new player and used the LulaBet promo code NEWBONUS at registration, the welcome package you unlock still sits under these same free-bet rules once the sports credit hits your slip. The code does not rewrite the odds floor or the “stake not returned” line.

How a winning Free Bet actually pays

LulaBet does not pay your stake back. If the Free Bet wins, only the profit hits your balance.
A R50 Free Bet on a 2.80 single makes that obvious:

  • Cash bet: R50 × 2.80 = R140 back (R50 stake + R90 profit)
  • Free Bet: you keep the R90 profit only

So a “R50 Free Bet” is not the same as depositing R50. Judge the selection on the profit, not the headline amount. Before you can withdraw, that Free Bet still has to be turned over once, on a single priced at 2.76 or higher. Accumulators look bigger on the slip, but they do not meet the published rule.

Use it as one bet or lose the rest

You cannot drip-feed a Free Bet. LulaBet requires it as one whole bet. Put R30 of a R50 token on Kaizer Chiefs and leave R20 sitting, and that R20 is gone. Same if you try to split it across two legs or two different matches.

That rule is why it pays to wait for a market you actually want, rather than burning the token on a short-priced favourite just to “use it up.” A mid-priced PSL or EPL single at 2.80–3.20 is closer to what the terms ask for than a 1.40 home win.

Who can claim

The promotion is valid in South Africa only. One offer per:

  • account holder
  • household
  • device
  • IP address
  • email
  • banking detail

Duplicates, cancellations and extra small print

If you share a Wi-Fi box, a card or a phone with someone else who has already claimed, LulaBet can treat that as a duplicate. The operator also reserves the right to revoke any bonus that does not follow these terms, and to change or cancel the promotion after notifying the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board.

Clicking through counts as acceptance. Manipulation or fraud is an instant disqualification, not a warning letter. If a dispute does not get resolved with support, it can go to the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board — that is the regulator named in the terms, not a random complaints inbox.

One more line people skip: goodwill Free Bets and one-off promotional credits can carry their own extra conditions. Those get sent by SMS or email and published against that specific promo. Do not assume the generic sports Free Bet rules cover a weekend reload or a “sorry for the delay” credit until you have read the message that came with it.
