Betfred Ties Free Spins to South Africa’s Biggest Fixture
The biggest fixture on the South African calendar is days away, and Betfred has tied a straightforward casino reward to it. If you're rooting for the Buccaneers or the Glamour Boys, you can get 100 free spins on the Gates of Olympus Super Scatter slot game. All you need to do is place a bet on the game happening on October 31st at FNB Stadium. This offer is only available for a short time. Once you get the free spins, they will expire in one day.
What the Soweto Spins offer Needs
To get spins from Betfred, you can't just log in or make any bet. You have to place a real-money bet of R50 or more on the Orlando Pirates vs. Kaizer Chiefs game on October 31, 2026. Your bet needs to have odds of 2/1 (or 3.0 in decimal) or higher. Bets with multiple selections and bets placed with bonus money don't qualify.
Once that qualifying bet settles (win or lose), the 100 Free Spins are credited within two hours and can only be used on Gates of Olympus Super Scatter. They expire 24 hours after they land. Only one allocation is available per customer, and the whole promotion closes on 31 October.

How the matchday timing works
The offer is live from 29 October, so you can place your qualifying bet before the weekend if you prefer. Many players wait until closer to kick-off (listed around 15:30 on Saturday) to lock in the best available price, but any single that meets the R50 and 3.0 thresholds counts as long as it is placed during the promotional window and on the correct fixture.
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter is a high-volatility Pragmatic title built around Zeus, multipliers and the super scatter mechanic. The 100 free spins give you a decent look at the feature without dipping into your own balance, which is useful on a day when most of the country’s attention is on the pitch rather than the reels.
Important conditions that actually matter
Betfred clearly states that only bets made with real money count. They consider it manipulation if you try to cover all possible outcomes or bet on very low odds. If they detect linked accounts or people betting together in a coordinated way, they'll see it as a betting syndicate. This could lead to your free spins and any money you win being cancelled. You need to use your free spins during regular gameplay. Betfred also has the right to change or end this promotion at any time.
These rules are standard for South African bookmaker promotions, but they are worth reading in full on the Betfred page before you stake. The 24-hour expiry on the spins is tight, so plan to use them the same day they arrive rather than leaving them overnight.
